Glory Carriers | Ilse Kleyn

Isa 60:1-3 “Arise [from spiritual depression to a new life], shine [be radiant with the glory and brilliance of the LORD]; for your light has come, And the glory and brilliance of the LORD has risen upon you. For in fact, darkness will cover the earth And deep darkness will cover the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you, And His glory and brilliance will be seen on you. Nations will come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.”

In contrast, Romans 3:23 says that all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.  Sin caused separation and Abba Father closed the veil. Christ’s body is the veil. Only by accepting Him as your savior you can have access again through the torn veil – his blood.  Not only access to Abba Father but also access to His glory. Isaiah 60 says God’s Glory shall be seen on His covenant bride. We are His vessels of Glory in a world where deep darkness covers the people.

2Co 3:18 “We can all draw close to Him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another.  And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”

Isaiah 60 prompts us to 2 actions: to arise and to shine.  When a person has depression they sleep a lot, isolate themselves and they even lose their appetite for food.  Negative thought about themselves and the world around them is a constant reality. The Word tells us that we can have spiritual depression. That is when the enemy got you to a point of isolating yourself from other believers and you even lost your appetite for the Word. Maybe you got hurt in a church.  Father tells us to ‘arise’, get off the couch.  It is an action that is required from us, not Abba Father. If we do not, then we cannot shine His light.

Ask yourself do I shine His glory or do I suffer from spiritual depression.  Did I lose my appetite for the Word? The Glory of God is found in His presence, and we have access to Him.  We can come boldly to the throne of mercy through the blood of the Lamb and obtain this glorious light.
