The Sword of the Promise | Ilse Kleyn

The almond blossoms are a picture of the promise of fruit in our lives and according to the Word, also a picture of the Word (Jer 1:12). Only through His Holy Spirit are we able to bear fruit. We are only able to bear fruit if there is a seed planted in us. Without a seed, no plant, no growth, no blossoms and no fruit.

The sword of the promise by Ilse Kleyn

His living Word is the incorruptible seed and also the Sword, It is Jesus – Yeshua himself.  No other Seed can produce Kingdom fruit.  In 2 Corinthians 13:5, the apostle Paul asks the Corinthian believers a question: “Or do you not realize about yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you?”  Paul wasn’t speaking poetically or metaphorically. He meant that Jesus Christ was dwelling within them.

We must realize this fact about ourselves. Christ isn’t outside of us as some kind of Helper in our time of need; He actually lives in us and is with us all the time.  This is why it is so easy to identify His children, we will be known by our fruit. John 15:8 “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples”.

Abba Father has a promise and purpose for all His children. It is good. Because of this dream of Abba Father over our lives, our enemy, Satan, prowls around to steal and destroy this plan. Through His Word and by His power and authority, we can overcome the enemy. We have the Lion of the tribe of Judah inside of us, we have His Holy Spirit guiding us every day to bear His fruit.

I am reminded of Joseph’s life. Abba Father had a great plan for his life.  The enemy knew this and did all he could to destroy those plans. Through all the hardships Joseph went through, he still bore Kingdom fruit, he thrived even in the presence of the enemy. He stayed obedient to His Father. He overcame.

Psl 1. “But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night. And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity].
